Pre Race   :  She is working well and relaxing nicely now. She does not have the best of draws over the 1800m but does have a lot of gate speed and Anthony should be able to get over without using her up too much.

Post Race :  I think she needs to come back in trip as just does not seem to get the distance.

Pre Race   :  She is working very well. She has a good draw and a good jockey on top. She is racing over the 1600m and we are hoping to get a good position with a horse or two in front of her which she can settle in behind. She is fit and well and if we have some luck in the running, she will be right there.

Pre Race   :  We have brought her back in trip and she is racing over the 1950m. She is drawn well and her work is good. Sean settled her very nicely last time. He will try and give her a nice patient ride and I am hopeful she will produce a good strong finish.

Post Race :  She jumped well and ended up going a nice pace in front. She was relaxed and had settled nicely. Unfortunately about halfway up the back straight a horse came up next to her. She did not enjoy being challenged so early in the race and used herself UP a bit earlier than we would have liked. Sean did not give her a hard ride and she did not finish too far off them.

Pre Race   :  We have been trying different bits on her to see if we can get her to settle. She has a nice draw and a top rider in Sean Cormack so let's hope he can get her to relax.

Post Race :  She actually settled nicely. It would have been nice to have a decent build up going into this race, which unfortunately we did not get, to see if she did in fact get the trip. She wasn’t beaten that far and I think it is time to bring her back in trip, maybe a mile or a mile and a furlong.

Pre Race   :  This is her first run in Durban. Her work on the track is good. The 2500m is quite an open, competitive race but she has a leight weight and is in with a place chance.

Post Race :  The pace was quite slow and her jockey decided to pull her out and go round them to race handy. She went up front but was travelling a bit too well. She gave a little kick but did not go on with the effort.

Pre Race   :  She is unfortunately drawn wide but she has got good gate speed and should be able to get into a good position. She is well and I am expecting a very good run.

Post Race :  She was a little disappointing but was very fractious saddling up, in the parade ring and on the way to the start and this took a lot out of her. I think it best to draw a line through this run.

Pre Race   :  The formline is strong and again she has managed to pull the worst draw. We are going to have to give her a run for it and take our chances. It is so disappointing to get 3 shocking draws in a row. This filly just needs some luck.

Post Race :  She ran a cracking race. I thought she really tried hard, considering her draw. That was all that beat her in the end. It took Glen Hatt about 400m to get in from the wide outside draw and he finished well clear of the 3rd horse.

Pre Race   :  She has another double figure draw which is disappointing as she just needs some luck. She is getting stronger each day and is a very nice filly indeed.

Pre Race   :  The 12 draw looks to be a bit of a problem but Striker is up; the race is over 10 furlongs and I am looking forward to seeing what happens with the great man on top, especially over the 2000m. This is what we have felt all along that she would need.

Post Race :  I thought she ran an absolute cracker. It was a really special effort from her poor draw and her being a 3 yr old in a race over 10 furlongs.

Pre Race   :  This looks an extremely strong race but it is a small field and she has caught a good draw. Whilst on the ratings, she appears to have no chance, I don’t think it is a bad race to use as a learning curve for her

Post Race :  I thought this was a smashing run. She is just looking for a little further and is maturing daily and getting stronger.

 10  1600m Maiden Plate (F&M)  Glen Hatt  17h25

Pre Race   :  This was a fantastic first run. For some reason, my horses this year haven’t been showing that well in their second runs. I am hoping she is the exception to the rule. She has come on since her run and is looking a million dollars

Post Race :  Pulled up well. A cracking effort as I thought it was quite a strong race. There is no reason why she has to keep front running and I think she will get further. She has a bright future.

Pre Race   :  This is a smashing filly. She will be green but I would like to think she can finish in the top five. The course is running very fast and if you don’t get off to a good start, then it is extremely difficult to show your potential but fingers crossed things go her way.

Post Race :  Rachel Leigh got slightly blocked in the straight which didn’t help her cause. Having said that, there will be plenty of improvement in her. She had never been to Durbanville before. She will also appreciate a trip and I was more than impressed with her run.
