Post-Race

Kenilworth - 21 February 2015

CANYOUCANCAN:

Race 2 - This was a smashing run and I am very pleased with her. Hopefully, touch wood, we are finally on the right track with her.

VERY CLEVER:

Race 3 - An extremely strange run. I am not sure if he wants further, blinkers or someone who pushes a bit harder. It could well be a combination of all three and we will fit blinkers for his next start.

TROUBLE MAKER:

Race 3 - A lovely run. He is just a big baby that is taking his time and we will carry on with his extra lessons.

KINGVOLDT:

Race 4 - I could not be happier with his run. He was carrying a big weight and I thought it was a really good effort. We have got him back on track and there are many options ahead.

HAPPY FOREVER:

Race 4 - This was another gutsy run. He was carrying a big weight and fought all the way to the line.

WITHOUT PERMISSION:

Race 5 - We will check him out thoroughly to find the reason for his poor effort.

KING OF PAIN:

Race 6 - Very pleased with his effort after such a long break. He was a few weeks off a run but with Kenilworth being difficult to get a gallop on (and the ground also getting firmer without any rain) it was good to get a run into him.

DISCO AL:

Race 6 - This was a very good run and I believe he still has another couple of good wins in him.

MISS SAIGON:

Race 7 - She tried hard and it was another gutsy effort.

COLTRANE:

Race 8 - What a star! I am so pleased with him. He fought all the way to the line. He has been the most wonderful horse this season and is an absolute pleasure to train.

VARSTER:

Race 9 - She did not get the run of the race and ended up having to come up the middle of the course by herself. Once they start coming up that outside rail, if you are coming up the middle of the track, it seems to be a complete waste of a run.
