Post-Race

Kenilworth - 07 February 2015

PRINCE OF THIEVES:

Race 1 - He ran a fantastic race and I am really happy with him. He should just about get his head in front next time out.

TAR HEEL:

Race 1 - He ran as I thought he would. He travelled a little too well and we must get him to settle a little bit better. I was pleased with the run and there is much more improvement in him. It is difficult to get gallops at Kenilworth and this race will have brought him on nicely.

SIR HENRY:

Race 2 - It was tough running from so far back on Saturday. The course was running extremely quickly. This poor fellow never seemed to get in anywhere to have any sort of a chance but hopefully he can have more luck with the draw next time. He will also hopefully be running over a fair bit further in his next start.

SOVEREIGN SPEECH:

Race 3 - She is extremely moderate and it is time to move her on.

BLACK CHROME:

Race 4 - They went a good pace but it was still a disappointing run. I think we need to change tactics on her and drop her out. She does seem to be better when ridden that way

GAUTENG:

Race 4 - I know she is better than this run. They went a good pace but it was still a disappointing run by any standards.

WESTERN FORCE:

Race 5 - I will be writing to the handicapper about the penalty given to him after his previous run. It seems a little excessive for winning a Maiden.

GREY LIGHT:

Race 7 - She will be going to the farm for a good holiday before heading up to Durban and the polytrack.

TIGERESS DANCE:

Race 8 - This was a superb effort and I was pleased with her. However, it is fairly obvious that she is a 1400m filly.
